Favorite Things - 1st Edition

I'm borrowing this idea from some other blogs I read. I'm doing a "favorite things" post. I will try to do this every so often...depending how often I find things I like enough to write about.
So here it goes... Here are a few of my favorite things for March/April.

Nutella
I tried it for the 1st time recently and I fell in love. I'm not a super chocolate freak, nor do I eat a lot of peanut or other nut butters, but something about this delicious hazelnut and chocolate spread is just heavenly. I bought my 1st jar and I have been eating small amounts of it with fresh fruit for dessert. Strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, pineapple...so good! This stuff would be good on just about anything.

Bananas
Ok, I know this is a strange one, but for real, bananas are like my new favorite snack. I went for years without eating bananas because I thought I didn't really like them as much as other fruit. I thought they were ok, but I just never ate them. The other day I bought one when I was in a rush for something healthy for lunch. I realized bananas aren't bad! Maybe my body is craving potassium or something, but for some reason it tasted way better than I remember (but please don't give me an over-ripe one, that still grosses me out). I like the idea of being able to grab one when I'm running out the door in the morning. Complete with their own packaging, bananas are my new purse friendly, go-to snack.

Our Own Rub

"Our Own Rub" by Pikes Place Fish Market
I found this stuff recently at Whole Foods. They were sampling it on some salmon and I had to buy it! We make salmon all the time, pretty much once a week and I was very happy with the way I made it....until I tried this stuff. It is SO good. It makes the salmon so flavorful with it's savory and slightly sweet and spicy mix of spices. I am in love with it. They have many varieties but the one we got is called "Our Own Rub" with the white lid. Look for it at your Whole Foods or you can order it here. http://www.pikeplacefish.com/Our-Own-Rub.html
